THE FAMILY OF KEY GENESIS FIGURES WITH THEIR GREEK IDENTITIES

 

The Greek gods looked just like people because they were people. The word gods in Greek is theoi, meaning literally “placers.” For the most part, they were the glorified ancestors in the way of Cain who discarded God and put their serpent- and man-centered religious system in place.

SETH/ARES

NOAH/NEREUS

A prophet of Yahweh in the line of Seth who brought mankind through the Flood.

LAMECH/ATLAS

King in the pre-Flood line of Cain. Possessor of the golden apples from the serpent’s tree which he figuratively presented to his great-grandson Nimrod/Herakles when the latter’s rebellion succeeded.

NAAMAH/ATHENA

Princess, and last person mentioned in the line of Cain (Genesis 4:22). Came through the Flood as Ham’s wife and instigated the rebellion against the Yahweh-believing sons of Noah.

HAM/CHIRON

Mocked and turned his back on Noah. According to the Greeks, the “good” Centaur (Seth-man) who brought Naamah as his wife through the Flood.

CUSH/HERMES

Born on his mother’s side from the line of Cain, turned away from Noah and Yahweh, embraced and spread Zeus-religion.

Naamah, Cush, and Nimrod (Athena, Hermes, and Herakles) were the chief characters responsible for the triumph of the way of Cain after the Flood.
